CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM & LUNCHEON:  The Children’s Christmas Program and Luncheon is TODAY, December 12.  The Luncheon will be held after the worship service and the Program will follow the Luncheon.

REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR:  We usually do an adventure project, but this year you can do it at home.  At the end, bring it in or take it to the mission yourself.  Dec. 1 – box of cereal; Dec. 2 – peanut butter; Dec. 3 – stuffing mix; Dec. 4 – boxed potatoes; Dec. 5 – macaroni and cheese; Dec. 6 – canned fruit; Dec. 7 – canned tomatoes; Dec. 8 – canned tuna; Dec. 9 – dessert mix; Dec. 10 – jar of applesauce; Dec. 11 – canned sweet potatoes; Dec. 12 – cranberry sauce; Dec. 13 – canned beans; Dec. 13 – canned beans; Dec. 14 – box of crackers; Dec. 15 – package of rice; Dec. 16 – package of oatmeal; Dec. 17 – package pasta; Dec. 18 – spaghetti sauce; Dec. 19 – chicken noodle soup; Dec.20 – tomato soup; Dec. 21 – canned corn; Dec. 22 – canned mixed vegetables; Dec. 23 – canned carrots; Dec. 24 – canned green beans.  If you have any questions, please see Judy.

FOOD OUTREACH:  Looking to the Christmas season, foods that make the celebration a little more festive will be included in the boxes for distribution on December 17.  The following suggested items are always appreciated:  stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, canned yams, canned vegetables, boxed potatoes.  We will be shopping for turkey or ham.  We delivered boxes of shelf-stable foods to several families in need on November 19.  Marty made at home communion available for members at that time.  We are thankful for the response from you.  Our hope is to maintain the servant project, once a month, through the year, recognizing an essential need in the community and to keep communication with some of our members, too.  Thanks to Peggy who volunteered to make deliveries.  Monetary donations can be made to the church with FOOD OUTREACH on the memo line.  Questions or suggestions, please contact Bonnie, Debbie, or Grace.

CELEBRATE GRAND-FAMILIES:  “Celebrate Grand-families” is a support group for grandparents raising their grandchildren.  St. Paul is reaching out to support these families with Christian compassion and a place to meet and discuss their needs.  While the grandparents meet, we will have crafts, games, bible stories, snacks, help with homework, tutoring, and a fun social time for children.  Sessions in January will be on Saturday, January 8 and 22, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.  Please contact Liz to help.

CONGREGATIONAL REQUESTS:  With not having someone in the office fulltime and not having a fulltime permanent pastor, the Council is concerned that we might have overlooked someone who needs us.  For example, someone goes into the hospital or wants a nursing home or home visit, wants home communion, needs transportation to church or a doctor’s appointment, etc.  Lorri has agreed to coordinate all of these requests. She will then find someone to help you with your needs.  Next, VOLUNTEERS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!  Lorri will be placing a form in the bulletin that you can use to sign up for what you would be willing to help with.  With God’s blessing, we can all help one another!  Thank you!  Lorri

HOME COMMUNION:  Home communion packages will be available in the church office Monday through Friday 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.  The bread and wine were blessed during Sunday service.  Please call Lynn at 330-394-5741 to make arrangements for pickup.  Marty is available for home delivery and is also able to serve communion if requested.

THANK YOU:  Dear St. Paul Family, Thank you for all your prayers and cards during my illness.  It means more than you’ll ever know.  Peace be with all of you.  Sincerely in Christ, Rodger and Diana
