Interim Pastor: Our Interim Pastor is Gail Zackrison. She will be our Interim Pastor for this pastoral transition. She is trained in Intentional Interim Ministry, which is a process to help a congregation look at itself and its mission, etc. As many of you as possible will be involved in that process. She lives in Edinboro, PA, with her cat, Jennifer. She has two daughters, both of which are married with one child each. Pr. Zackrison went to Christ Seminary-Seminex, and graduated in 1982, and was ordained on Super Bowl Sunday 1983. She has served congregations in Missouri and Pennsylvania with several interim positions in Missouri, Kansas, Upstate New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. She is currently the interim at St. John Lutheran Church in Champion also.
Food Outreach: During the month of January, Grace Shiau wanted to recognize local First Responders. Stacey Altiere, our Youth Director, helped us connect with the 911 Dispatch Center in Howland and the Main Fire Station in Warren. Grace provided her famous rice and yummy chicken. We added homemade cookies and delivered it all to the sites for their lunch. Thank you to these community leaders who dedicate their lives to ensure our safety. Pictures are on Facebook. Again this month, 18 hot meals were provided by Grace for some of our members and families in the community. Four home deliveries received non-perishable groceries as well. Each delivery begins with a phone call. Home delivery was handled by members on January 22. The next delivery is scheduled for February 19. Thrivent Financial provided funding to get the Action Team servant project up and running last September. Monetary and non-perishable food donations are supporting the project into the new year. We are thankful for the response from you. Our hope is to maintain the servant project once a month throughout the year, recognizing an essential need in the community. The following suggested items are always appreciated; cereal, soup and crackers, macaroni and cheese, easy-prep noodle or rice side dishes, canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, boxed potatoes, peanut butter and jelly, and cookies. Monetary donations can be made to the church with FOOD OUTREACH on the memo line. Questions or suggestions, please contact Bonnie Thompson at 330-272-1400, Debbie Illencik at 234-308-1626 or Grace Shiau at 330-720-4579.
Grand-families: Grand-families meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month in the Parlor. We will meet Saturday, February 13 and 27, at 10:30 am.

CPR & First Aid Class
Sunday, February 21
Our youth will have an introductory CPR and First Aid Class during Youth Group on Sunday, February 21. Thank you, Judy Dodge, for taking time out of your busy schedule to teach the next generation!
TBD – Spring 2021
Are you concerned that the younger generation is moving away from basic life skills and a hard day’s work? Want to get them off the phone and out into the fresh air? If so, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are finalizing our plans with the Trumbull Neighborhood Partnership to acquire land for a community garden and need volunteers. Whether you want to garden or just spend time outdoors with our youth, this is a wonderful opportunity to help our community while teaching our children. Please contact Stacey Altiere for further information at 330-718-8820.
